A transaction is started by entering the transaction code in the command field on the standard toolbar or by using the statements CALL TRANSACTION or LEAVE TO TRANSACTION.
Logical R/3 process. From the user perspective, a transaction represents a unit (such as a change to a customer address or the execution of a program). From the ABAP programming perspective, a transaction one of two ways in which a user can call an ABAP program. The other method is to execute an executable program (or report).

Web item that enables combining any content to be displayed or non-visible content.
An environment that provides applications access to the required service APIs. It loads the corresponding service adapters for the respective platform based on configuration.
Container
CEC - SAP Marketing (CEC-MKT)Storage object for incoming interactions with shareable IDs that cannot be uniquely assigned to one contact. Example Family members share a PC with one IP address. When a family member browses a website without being logged on with a unique user, it is not clear to whom the browsing interactions can be attributed. Such interactions are technically stored as container contacts.
A receptacle that holds the chemical content of a substance or preparation that is emitted by an object. For example, in the case of a spray can with a mixture in it, a printer cartridge, or a pen, the substances/preparations within the container (such as air freshener, toner, or ink) are the most important part of the function of the object, and the container (can, cartridge or pen barrel) is a means of controlling release of the contents. Note that the containers are independent products in their own right, which means that all other provisions relating to articles still apply to these components.

Container
IS - Advertising Management Classified (IS-M-AMC)Rectangular area that is used in a style to describe the structure of the ad content. Containers can be nested, meaning that a container can contain containers that divide the container into rectangular areas. Text and image blocks are inserted in the container to subdivide the area further. Horizontal or vertical containers are available. If you insert containers, text blocks or image blocks in a vertical container, these are arranged above one another. If you insert containers, text blocks or image blocks in a horizontal container, these are arranged next to one another. You use a horizontal container, in which you insert two text blocks, for an ad with two columns. Use a vertical container in which you insert a text block and an image block for an ad that is to contain a graphic above the ad text.
Repository used for storage or transportion of waste. The container corresponds to a piece of equipment in the Plant Maintenance (PM) application component. A container may be one of the following: With/without seal Discharge system container Tipping container Roll-off container

Tool for displaying and analyzing memory snapshots. Called using transaction S_MEMORY_INSPECTOR.
The inspector part of the simulate configuration models app where you can display the properties and dependencies of the selected BOM item, characteristic, characteristic value or configuration profile and to view the trace information of the configuration.
Troubleshooting
SRD - DocumentationA set of documents that provide solutions for typical problems or user errors. These documents are available in the advanced search and in the search for incident reporting.
SAP technological basis for enabling Java applications to be executed as robustly as applications developed in ABAP. The objective is to isolate individual users in order to avoid any adverse effects on system performance. To provide an optimal runtime environment for specific scenarios with particularly high requirements of a narrow ABAP-Java coupling, as of AS ABAP Release 7.00, a Java VM can also run integrated in the ABAP work process.
Monitoring

The data and metrics are used by other subsystems in SAP Landscape Management such as dashboards, and alerts.
Monitoring
CA - SAP Customer Activity Repository On-Shelf Availability (CA-RT-CAR-OSA)The process during which the on-shelf availability algorithm compares the actual frequency of sales of a product at a store against the expected frequency (supplied by the estimation model and intra-week pattern). The algorithm uses the comparison to determine the percentage likelihood that this product is out of shelf. The monitoring process also uses the confidence threshold settings to determine the time at which the on-shelf availability algorithm needs to be executed again.
Monitoring
CRM - SAP Contact Center (CRM-CCI)The process or application for collecting and displaying data and metrics from the system and its users' performance.
Monitoring
FS - Funding Management (FS-TXS)Part of the settlement process. The monitoring watches over a possible set of events/amendments to a funding transaction and where applicable takes the necessary measure and sends back the relevant reports to the monitoring-cockpit.
Monitoring
MFG - Machine Model (MFG-DM-MA-MM)Monitoring of processes carried out by PCo agent instances. When activated you can display the PCo logs during runtime.
Monitoring

It is also a work center view in the Physical Inventory work center where you can get an overview of the physical inventory (PI) counting process. It is also a work center view in the Production Control work center where you can view production lots. Production lots record data for released production orders. You can also manage deviations by initiating appropriate follow-up actions. Depending on the work center, these actions can be: Sending goods back to the supplier Reversing the last logistics step Accepting a deviation Requesting information from a colleague Approving a count item or logistics area Requesting a recount Rejecting a count item

A business event that represents a change in value or quantity for a company and as a result needs to be entered in accounting. A business transaction, which is depicted as a whole entity and can be reversed, is represented in a set of books by a journal entry. It can therefore be identified uniquely. Business transactions control many follow-on processes in accounting, such as determining G/L accounts automatically.
Business Transaction
FS - Source Data (FS-BA-SD)Independent but logically connected business event that implies a change in value or quantity, or a result. Business transactions are therefore flow data. A business transaction is depicted as a posting in Accounting as one whole entity, which can be reversed. In Accounting, this entity has to have a key to identify it.
Sequence of activities that are performed during the processing phase of a business process. From the dialog, you call the business transactions by making a selection in the context menu of the product tree. This value is transferred to APO from the calling OLTP system at runtime and determines the rule strategy in APO.
The set of all reports for an organization, including the rules for creating and distributing such reports.
Classical application area of executable programs where the program flow implments the EVA principle by displaying a selection screen, importing data (often using a logical database), and displaying the formatted data in a list.

Reporting
FS - Funding Management (FS-TXS)One of the transaction management processes.
