I have a requirement to upload the data .Initially they have created project definition and wbselement with the help of some data transfer technique later on they have added custom fields to this transaction.

Can you please tell me one BAPI which I can use to update an User Defined Field in WBS Element and it should work only with CJ02 authorization as it will be used from WD ABAP application called via Portal. Portal users will only have CJ02 authorization in ECC.

We are having some trouble at work. We create projects with all the steps needed (CJ01, CJ40, CJ30, IMCCP3, CJ32, CJBV, ME12N and CJ02) and assign each WBS element to ONE company code. However, when employees create a purchase order with ME23N, sometimes they choose one WBS element and choose some other company code. This causes trouble later in the process.

I want capture error message which are displayed in ALV grid Pop-Ups in an internal table using BDC. Any method available for that. Also is there any FM available to upload settlement rule in CJ02. I have used one FM "K_SRULE_SAVE_UTASK" but this FM does not have any validations or checks before creating entries in table COBRB. Any other to upload the settlement rule.?

When attempting to create a completed asset from within a project in CJ02 (or in CJ20n), the generic number INTERN00001-0 is input as a placeholder. After saving, and going back into the settlement rule, the correct asset number is not being internally generated based off of the number range assignment in configuration. It remains as  INTERN00001-0. We are on ECC 6.0 ehp6. This occurs in our test environment, where we have transported some configuration changes, but I cannot locate any information on what we could have changed that would have impacted the internal number assignment.
