SAP MDM5 Transaction Code: Workflow: Mail to MRP Controller

During the past couple of month I was introduced to the MDM world and our product now called MDM5.5 also known as MDME and I wanted to share with you my insights regarding this amazing tool and its capabilities.

The MDME Connector uses the SAP Connector Framework and MDME4J libraries as a shared library. You need to add these libraries into portalapp.xml.

During the last few weeks I have been involved as a lead ESA Architect in a development project that integrates MDM5.5 , Enterprise Portal 6.0 and SOA. In this Weblog I would like to share my experience of using MDM5.5 from the application point of view.

However, the problem is not solved yet.....I m getting the same error the first time I open the publisher ..while the next time it asks me to enter the layout server and when i put the host name of the local machine (where layout server is now installed )and click ok ....it opens the same pop up of the Layout server without throwing error and again asks me to specify Layout server....

In MDM 5.5 SP05 patch2 improve the perforamance but still there is you need to do enhancement like nested qualified tabel. we need to standered message type for classification data.

Using MDM5.5 SP6, We have a problem of portal ep refreshment : if we do any modification of fields in MDM Console, we have to stop/restart the Portal in order to take those modifications into account.

MDM PI Adapter is available in MDM7,its not available in MDM5.5,but PI7.0 has functionality to import MDM adapter available in market place . I wish to know, even if i do that in PI, is it necessary to import MDM adapter and do certain configuration in MDM5.5.
