    We are on EH6, while trying to create group for material number range in MMNR, most of the time either the group in not getting created or we are not able to create a number range within that.     I have Developed the BDC For VA01 Transaction code.While creating the Sales order it automatically creates the Serial number.But in BDC i am getting the Error message 'Serial Number is Being Created for the Material'.I am getting this message only for few serial numbers.What could be the Problem.

    If you want assign your material type to a certain group, then click button Maintain Groups in application toolbar in MMNR t.code and in in next screen double click the material type to be allocated and then check the box in front of the group to which you want do the allocation and click the button select the group and click the button Element/Group.
